You may have noticed the change in design on the rock on the pathway to the upper school. That project is the first of many to be completed by the National Art Honor Society. The National Art Honor Society is an organization that fosters artists to lead, create, and serve. Grades 9-12 are eligible to be members, however eighth graders may still participate in activities.
The current project that the National Art Honor Society is working on is creating and designing cards for Valentine’s Day. The cards will be sold for $2-5 each at Monk Hall and the Upper School closer to Valentine’s Day. The proceeds from the cards will go directly to supporting the National Art Honor Society’s future projects.
In order to join the organization, you need to be active in the arts, have taken or are currently taking a visual arts class with an A level grade, have a 3.0 GPA average, attend meetings, and complete art-related service hour projects. Inductions will occur on April 22, 2026, during the spring Upper School concert. If you are interested in joining the National Art Honor Society, contact Mr. Allen. Time is running out to join as the induction ceremony draws near. The society would love to have you!
