Studio artists are currently finishing up their final projects for this semester. These students have worked so hard on their projects, and they are so excited for their art to be shown in an art show coming up soon. Some Studio Artists wanted to share about their artwork and what to look forward to seeing in the art show. One of our Studio Artist’s, Cory Sheffield, is working on a project that is 4 portraits sewn in fabric of Goldilocks and the three bears. She is basing it off of the artist, Biss Butler’s artwork, and using inspiration from the artist Andy Warhol. Another studio artist, Sophia Tann-Jackson, is working on a dragon in a graveyard. The project mediums Sophia is using is a mix of watercolors and prisma colored pencils. As a Studio Artist as well, I just finished a project that is a love potion floating above the sea. The medium I used was prisma colored pencils. All of these art projects will be shown in the upcoming art show, so you can look forward to seeing the finished products of all of our Studio Artist students project’s in it. There are students in Studio Art whose projects will be profiled in a later article, but suffice it to say, each student is creating amazing artwork. These students can’t wait for their pieces of artwork to be shown in the art show, so that everyone can see.
