This year, the Latin Department continued one of its most beloved traditions: singing Latin carols for the Lower School. On Friday morning, everyone gathered in Mr. Taylor’s room, donning their tunics and togas, before heading over to delight the younger students with our songs. We sang Aquifolia Ornate (Deck the Halls), Rudolphus Rubrinasus (I think you can figure this one out), Jingle Bells, and a special consuls/upperclassmen rendition of Gaudete. Mr. Taylor was complementary of the performance!
It’s a simple yet fun way to share Christmas cheer — and our love of latin — with our younger peers. We look forward to continuing the tradition next year!
