This softball season has been a season of firsts for both the team and the coaches. This year is Head Coach Grady’s first season for Oakwood, while Assistant Coach Blackmer is a returning assistant coach. Although the team has suffered many losses, it has also had many humongous wins! In the team’s first game, they scored more runs than they had scored all of last season. Then in the team’s game against Northeast, they got their first win of the season and a run rule! When they played against Northeast again, they run-ruled them for a second time.
“I am extremely proud of how everyone has worked hard and came together during the season,” said Coach Grady. “Our goal has been to get 1% better every day, and through dedication, we have been seeing those results!”
