After an eventful pep rally, it was time for the games!
First up, JV Boys! A majority of the supporters who watched the game agreed that this was their best game yet. The boys started off strong, and somehow ended stronger. Our JV Boys fought and played a close game all the way till the very end. Even though they didn’t pull through with a win, and ended with a score of 20-33, the game was incredible to watch.
Next, Varsity Girls! The girls got the message that it was our homecoming game, and brought their best. Being a young team, they constantly have to face opposing teams much older than them, and this game was no exception. After an incredibly tight game, the girls won with a score of 28-22.
Finally, Varsity Boys! The Varsity Boys team had to persevere through players getting injured. With a well rounded team, the Varsity Boys were capable of filling the roles of the injured players. The Varsity Boys pulled off a victory, ending the game with a score of 47-43.
After three exciting games, homecoming was officially over for the basketball teams. However this isn’t the end of their season!! All three teams have games through mid-February, so come out and support our Oakwood Basketball!
