The Oakwood Cross Country team is one that is built upon community, support, and endless hardwork. Everyday the team shows up to practice with positive attitudes ready to run and laugh with team mates. The Varsity and JV teams have only had one conference meet this season so far but it held much personal success. Oscar Ferrara and Amelia Thaxton took first place in their respective boys and girls races, with the rest of the team coming in with strong finishes as well. While serious about their success, the team still finds time to have inter-squad relay races and fun challenges with gift cards as prizes. The chemistry between the Oakwood Cross Country team is like no other, it continues to grow and flourish week by week and year by year. They look forward to their next meets, great success, and making lasting memories.
