Oakwood Ceramics is a class working with clay to sculpt 3D art projects.
This can also include other skills like painting and measuring. This class is taught by Mr. Allen, this will be his second year teaching here at Oakwood.
The class currently only has four students taking the course. Our goal for our projects this year is to keep them relating to this year’s art show which is Fantasy and Fairytales.
The first project the ceramics class has been working on are these big bento boxes originating from Japan. We hope to use them to hold our ceramic tools at our tables for future projects.
This process mostly uses slab making to make flat shapes that will form a floor, and walls to the box. The ceramics class will continue to make fun, wonderful projects for the Oakwood art show this year.
